Young Environmental Scientist (YES) program is a pioneering initiative by Industrial Waste Management Association to motivate and support school Children to carry out experiments and share their research findings in science. The main objective is to nurture their young minds, encourage their thoughts and recognize their talent.

YES is being successfully conducted since 2012. YES invites application from schools across Chennai. Submitted proposals will be shortlisted for next level and paired with IIT professors for mentoring.

The competition will culminate in YES awards finals, which will see attendance of experts form Industry and academia. The best ideas will receive prizes in cash and kind, all the teams will be provided with opportunities to interact with senior researchers, industry experts and social activists to further develop their ideas.
